Terms of Service

1. Who can use EduBuddy

EduBuddy is designed for students aged 10–15. Children must use the Service with the permission and involvement of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the account and for supervising the child’s use.

2. Accounts

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Parents may create and manage accounts for their children through the Parent Portal.

3. Subscriptions, plans & pricing

• Starter — $8/month. AI-powered conversational tutoring for Maths and English, basic progress tracking, an interface designed for 10–15 year olds, and secure login.
• Pro — $12/month. Everything in Starter plus adaptive learning paths, gamification, the Parent Portal, multilingual support (starting with Spanish), curriculum alignment options, and interactive practice problems.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Prices are shown in US dollars and may exclude taxes, which are added at checkout where applicable.

4. Free trial

New subscriptions may include a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and the applicable fee will be charged. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.

5. Billing & cancellation

Payments are processed by our payment provider. You can cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation stops future renewals, and you retain access until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
• Share your account or use it to impersonate others.
• Submit content that is offensive, infringing, or violates another person’s rights.

7. Educational disclaimer

EduBuddy is a learning aid that uses AI to explain concepts and guide students. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated explanations may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. EduBuddy is not a substitute for a qualified teacher, formal schooling, or professional advice.

8. Intellectual property

EduBuddy and its content, features, and branding are owned by EduBuddy and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended educational purpose.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or to protect the Service and its users. You may stop using EduBuddy and delete your account at any time.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EduBuddy is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and EduBuddy is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
